Longi releases the 590 W TOPCon solar panel, which has an efficiency of 22.8%.

There are seven different models in the new line, and their power levels range from 560 W to 590 W. Between 21.7% and 22.8% of the power is turned into usable form.

This week, at the SNEC trade show in Shanghai, China, Longi showed off its new Hi-Mo 7 PV module for big scale and C&I uses.

The company that made the new product said it is built on high-performance hybrid passivity (HPDC) dual junction technology, M10 wafers, and tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) cells.

“The back of the cell has high and low junctions, an optimised film design, and advanced deposition techniques to achieve remarkable full-area passivation with minimal parasitic absorption,” the company said. “On the front of the cell, a low-resistance contact sheet is put on, which makes the cell work better. Both the front and back have improved antireflection and low-recombination films and metallization options for better performance.

The new item is 2.278 mm long, 1.134 mm wide, and 30 mm thick, and it weighs 31.8 kg. It has dual glass that is 2.0 mm thick, a frame made of anodised aluminium, and an IP68 grade. The coefficient of temperature is -0.28% per C.

There are seven different models in the new line, and their power levels range from 560 W to 590 W. Between 21.7% and 22.8% of the power is turned into useful energy. The open-circuit voltage is between 50.89 V and 51.63 V, and the short-circuit current is between 13.89 A and 14.138 A.

The panels can be used in photovoltaic systems with a power of up to 1,500 V. The company guarantees the product for 12 years and the power output for 30 years, as long as 88.18% of the initial yield is reached.

“The reliability of Hi-MO 7 is also ensured by Longi’s product life cycle standards, which are the best in the industry.” “Hi-MO 7’s reliability is effectively ensured throughout its life cycle with optimised designs like high-quality monocrystalline silicon wafers, customised cell paste, optimised module encapsulation film system, SMBB high-precision interconnection, and high-reliability automatic welding of junction boxes,” the manufacturer said.

“The quality of Hi-MO 7 products is further ensured by the use of digitalized manufacturing and quality control platforms, especially smart AI detection technology.” So, Hi-MO 7 offers a linear power guarantee of no more than 0.38%. This gives buyers strong value and returns that go above and beyond what they expected,” it said.
