Trina Solar asserts that its investments and advancements in n-type TOPCon technology have resulted in excellent power output, efficiency, energy yield, and dependability in its 210mm technology cells and modules. The Vertex N 605W modules employ 210mm cells, and according to Trina, its design for 104-meter-long tracker systems has achieved an efficiency of 22.4%. Last November, TÜV Rheinland issued a carbon footprint certification for the modules.

The building of the 8GW facility where the first cells were manufactured began in July 2022, and production equipment was in place by November. The majority of the production line is devoted to 210mm TOPCon cells.

The solar industry has strengthened its commitment to TOPCON technology in recent years. Canadian Solar revealed intentions to commence mass manufacturing of TOPCon modules in the first quarter of 2023, claiming that the modules’ power output may exceed 690 W.
