Kopp has introduced SmartFlex, a foldable substructure-based four-panel rooftop PV system. The new system employs 430 W TOPCon n-type solar modules with efficiency ratings of 22.02%.
Unfolded, the system measures around 6.8 square metres, a business representative told pv magazine.
It was said that the system is easier to install than most rooftop systems because a crane takes the modules out of their shipping boxes and puts them on rooftops, where they can be unrolled and connected. Additionally, the modules may be linked with a single tool.
The ballast material provides wind and other harsh weather resistance. Depending on the quantity of ballast stones, a four-module unit weighs between 150 and 300 kg. The substructure is composed of the zinc-aluminum-magnesium alloy Magnelis.
The head of Kopp’s energy and home automation division stated, “With the new product, Kopp covers all stages, from technical planning through manufacture and delivery.” SmartFlex is a novel answer to the rising need for solar-powered autonomous energy delivery.
