New bifacial, dual-glass HJT solar panels have been introduced by Huasun for ground-mounted PV applications.
Midway through 2022, the Chinese maker of PV modules debuted the G12 Himalaya series. It was available in five variants with power outputs ranging between 680 W and 700 W. The company has recently released a new 715 W module that has been certified by TÜV SÜD Group.
“Recently, Huasun’s Himalaya G12-132 HJT module completed the entire sequence test of TÜV SÜD Group and received the standard certification IEC61215 for PV module performance,” the business stated in a statement. “The maximum output power of the module has surpassed 715W, establishing a new industry record for the power of PV modules of the same size.”
The power conversion efficiency of the first five variations range from 21.90 to 22.5%. The open-circuit voltage ranges from 49.5 V to 50.13 V, while the short-circuit current varies between 17.19 A and 17.43 A. Huasun failed to reveal the module’s efficiency rating.
The new panels measure 2,384 millimetres by 1,303 millimetres by 35 millimetres and weigh 38.7 kilogrammes. They consist of 132 half-cut monocrystalline HJT cells measuring 210 mm x 105 mm and SMBB (super multi busbar) cell technology.
“It features a double-glass structure encapsulated with PIB, which not only possesses the high-efficiency qualities of HJT, but also has improved water resistance and anti-PID performance,” the business explained.
The new devices have an IP67/IP68 enclosure with black anodized aluminium frames and a maximum system voltage of 1,500 V. Their temperature coefficient is -0.26% per degree Celsius, and their operating temperature range is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius. The bifacial modules are coated on both sides with two millimetres of glass. Reportedly, their bifaciality reaches up to 85%.
The new products include a 15-year linear power output guarantee and a 30-year linear power output guarantee. The power output is guaranteed to be no less than 88% of the nominal output power at the end of 30 years. The first year deterioration is said to be 1.0%.
In 2023, Huasun projects its manufacturing capacity to surpass 10 GW.
