The nation’s demand for solar panels is rising as summer draws near, which has led to a noticeable price increase. Solar panel prices have increased dramatically, from Rs. 75,000 to Rs. 300,000.
For instance, a 7-kilowatt system, once priced at Rs. 850,000, now reaches Rs. 920,000. A 10-kilowatt system now costs Rs. 12.5 lac instead of Rs. 11 lac.
Likewise, a 12-kilowatt system’s price has gone to Rs. 16 lac from Rs. 14 lac, while a 15-kilowatt system now costs Rs. 18 lac, reflecting a Rs. 300,000 increase.
The extra expenses associated with hybrid setups utilising batteries for energy storage mostly affect grid-connected solar panel installations. Consumers are financially strained by this spike, especially those who are participating in the government’s net metering programme.
Prices are subject to fluctuations due to a range of economic variables as well as sporadic political unrest in Pakistan. The increasing expenses are also caused by factors including capacity, efficiency ratings, brand recognition, and installation requirements.
