Kaco has developed string inverters for use in residential solar installations.

Kaco has introduced a new range of BluePlanet NX3 three-phase string inverters for applications ranging from small rooftop residential arrays to commercial building projects. They have outputs between 3 kW and 33 kW, a maximum efficiency of 98%, and a maximum efficiency in Europe of 97.6%.

Kaco New Energy, a German maker of inverters, has introduced a new transformer-free, three-phase string inverter for residential and commercial rooftop PV systems.

The new blueplanet NX3 M2 product line is comprised of six distinct models with outputs of 3.0 kVA, 5.0 kVA, 8.0 kVA, 10.0 kVA, 15.0 kVA, and 20.0 kVA. The efficiency of the smallest device is 97.3% and its European efficiency rating is 95.8%, while the efficiency of the largest device is 97.8% and its European efficiency rating is 97.5%.

Every gadget measures 435 mm by 503 mm by 183 mm. The 3.0 kVA and 5.0 kVA models, which are targeted for modest residential rooftop installations, weigh less than 16 kg, whereas the 18 kg commercial models.

The home inverters are equipped with two maximum power point tracking (MPPT) inputs, each of which has a load capacity of 6,200 W and an operating voltage range of 270 V to 850 V. Two MPPTs with a load capacity of 12,000 W and an operating voltage range of 400 V to 850 V are included in the commercial inverters.

The M3 product line consists of three distinct models with outputs of 25, 30, and 33 kVA. The biggest gadget has a 98.0% efficiency rating and a 97.6% European efficiency rating. The M3 series includes three MPPT inputs, each with a load capacity ranging from 37,500 W to 49,500 W and an operating voltage range of 450 V to 850 V.

All inverters are protected by IP65 and include active cooling. They may be employed in projects at elevations up to 3,000 metres and ambient temperatures between -25 C and 60 C.

The gadgets, according to Kaco New Energy, are meant for east-west facing roofs or twisted architectural forms.

“If necessary, the trackers will handle double the current in parallel,” the business added. Thus, sizing arrays with high-powered PV modules pointing south is similarly straightforward.

It was said that the inverters are applicable for both new projects and repowering PV systems. More than 20 European nations and overseas markets, including Israel and Jordan, have validated the NX3 series.
