Longi and TCL reduced wafer prices by more than 20%

Longi and TCL Zhonghuan have lowered wafer prices, Arctech Solar will supply 2.8 GW of single-axis trackers for solar projects in India, and Risen Energy has commenced mass production of its heterojunction (HJT) solar modules.

Longi has decreased the price of its wafers by more than 27%. According to the company, their M6 wafers are currently priced at CNY 4.54 ($0.65), down 27.24 percent from November 2022. It is currently offering P-type M10 wafers for CNY 5.4, a decrease of 27.20 percent.

TCL Zhonghua has also revealed price reductions for wafers. It stated that the price of its p-type G12 wafers has decreased by 23.7%, to CNY 7.1. It is selling N-type M10 wafers for CNY 5.8 and G12 wafers for CNY 7.5, which are both lower prices than in November.

Arctech Solar has secured a 2.8 GW supply agreement for its SkyLine II single-axis solar trackers with an unnamed Indian company. The trackers will be utilised in solar installations in Khavda, Gujarat, India. The projects are expected to be connected to the grid in the third quarter of 2023.

Risen Energy said that it has started making a lot of its new Hyper-Ion HJT solar panels. Based on big 210 mm N-type wafers, HJT cells have an average conversion efficiency greater than 26% and a panel efficiency greater than 22.5%. The panels have a power output of 710 watts.
