During an event commemorating the on-time delivery, LONGi was joined by PowerChina SEPCO III and local partners, all of whom contributed to the project’s successful completion.

Mohammad bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, introduced the plan in July 2017 with the intention of enticing visitors to the Red Sea coast through a blend of luxury and ecology. It is the most ambitious tourist regeneration project in the world and is handled by the Red Sea Development Company (TDC) as part of the Saudi Vision 2030 initiative.

As a result of its inclusion of the world’s biggest energy storage project, which is presently under development, it will have substantial demonstration value and serve as an essential reference for future smart energy projects once finished.

LONGi VP Dennis “Based on our respective market competitiveness and technical resources in the PV sector, we are all proud to be leading participants in this project, a key point for future collaboration and a significant step towards the Kingdom’s vision of achieving a 50% energy mix by 2030, a goal to which LONGi will make every effort to contribute,” she said in her address to those in attendance.
