N-type in public domain
PV InfoLink estimates that the tremendous increase in TOPCon production from the previous year will persist in 2024, completely surpassing PERC in the first half of the year. N-type products will be a mainstream component of the PV market, with a market share reaching 60%.
Introducing the G12R, the premier N-type module series from Tongwei Solar.
With its ability to balance technological innovation, product efficiency, size, appearance, ease of installation, and transportation, Tongwei Solar’s new generation G12R N-type module series is already a top option in the European market.
With its 2382x1134mm dimensions, the G12R series silicon wafers are the industry standard for rectangular designs and include newly developed, self-produced cell technology. With an average cell production efficiency of 26.7%, Tongwei independently built the first pilot test line of its kind for 210mm PECVD Poly, and its G12R series, which incorporates the company’s very dependable and highly efficient TNC technology, produces exceptional results.
The G12R series is evidence of the business’s ongoing efforts to deliver exceptional value in any situation. With significantly higher power output, lower costs, and improved system yields, the modules—which take advantage of the technological and efficiency advantages of large rectangular wafers—offer clients greater value by offering solutions for all scenarios involving residential, commercial, and industrial (C&I) and utility-scale power plants, meeting every conceivable client need.
Product benefits
System-wide, there are several benefits associated with the G12R series:
• Lower temperatures at which to operate. By employing half-cell technology, power production is enhanced by more than 0.5% and the temperature range is lowered by two to three degrees Celsius.
• Increased effectiveness of conversion. The modules have a conversion efficiency of at least 23.0%.
• Greater bifurcality. The bifaciality of TNC high-efficiency modules is higher, at 80±5%.
• Exceptional capacity to load. The modules have passed testing for snow loading at 5,400Pa and wind loads at 2,400Pa.
• Outstanding resistance to PID. PID deterioration is minimised via materials and technological optimisation.
• Outstanding low-light capabilities. In low light, TNC high-efficiency modules can produce more power.
A leading participant in the entire industry chain
Tongwei Solar uses integrated vertical strategies across the whole value chain, from premium raw materials and state-of-the-art technical research and development to high-efficiency modules, all to guarantee that the upstream has the best potential production capacity. The company is now at the top of the silicon material and cell production chain because to its constant dedication to raising quality and cutting prices.
It increased production capacity in its polysilicon, cell, and module divisions to a level never seen before in 2023. With ambitions to ramp to 100 GW, the company will be producing modules at 63 GW in 2023, placing it firmly in the top tier of module makers. Tongwei’s global cell shipments in 2023 put it back at the top of the rankings, according to PV InfoLink. Module shipments also did well enough to place the business in the top five, which helped to improve its overall branding.
