Top PV module providers in Q1 2024 based on shipment volume

In the first quarter of 2024, JinkoSolar, JA Solar, Trina Solar, and LONGi exported around 63 GW of PV modules, making up over 55% of total exports, indicating heightened concentration. The top 10 brands exceeded industry forecasts by delivering almost 98 GW altogether, accounting for roughly 86% of shipments. There has been a rise in market concentration as a result of the top 4 companies' domination in the market, which saw them maintain operating rates over 60% and surpass 85% in March. Lower-ranked brands have variations in their operating rates, which can occasionally fall below 20%.

Top Performers in Q1 2024
JinkoSolar: Showcased a 53% YoY increase and maintained the top spot with 19.993 GW shipments. Nearly 90% of JinkoSolar’s projected 100–110 GW of exports in 2024 will be n-type modules.


JA Solar: was awarded second place for its technological advances, worldwide reach, and integrated supply chain. The corporation hopes to reach over 100 GW of capacity by the end of 2024 in all categories.

Trina Solar: The company is keeping a positive view for 2024 and projects that worldwide module demand will reach 650 GW. The corporation has set a strong shipment target of 80-90 GW for the year in order to fulfil this.


LONGI : plans to aggressively invest in R&D and industrialization and anticipates that back-contact (BC) cell technology will dominate the market in the next five years. In three years, the business hopes to reach its 100 GW annual BC cell capacity.

TW Solar, also known as Tongwei Solar, is a company that is constantly growing its market share. In 2023, it will rank sixth in the world for PV module exports. Focused on improving brand advantages and distribution, TW Solar wants to exceed an annual shipping target of 50 GW by 2024.


Astronergy: Concentrates on increasing the efficiency and output capacity of its n-type cells. In order to support their objective of attaining 90% n-type exports for the year, they hope to reach an n-type cell capacity of 59 GW by the end of 2024.
