The 588 thousand Vertex DEG21C.20 bifacial solar modules are slated for a 379MW project situated in Extremadura, Spain, near Alcántara.
The bifacial solar modules from Trina Solar Vertex DEG21C.20 that were acquired for the project contain various revolutionary innovations and are capable of producing up to 670W of electricity while retaining an outstanding temperature coefficient and low irradiance performance. In addition, the module’s efficiency is increased to 21.6% by the 210 cells and high-density encapsulation technique. The power-generating capacity of the back of the panels can boost the modules’ power output by up to 25%. With high power, high efficiency, high reliability, and high energy yield, they satisfy the four basic objectives of the LCOE-oriented concept, which decreases the LCOE by a minimum of 4.1%.
Trina Solar’s design also uses low voltage and a higher power output per module string to connect up to 28 modules in a string and boost power by up to 34% compared to similar reference modules.
