Trina Solar will show the Vertex N family and Integrated Energy Solutions at RE+ 2023

At RE+ 2023 in Las Vegas, Trina Solar showed off Vertex N and Vertex S+ with n-type i-TOPCon Advanced technology. This is the new competitive edge for the solar business.

The company also showed off its suite of vertically integrated solutions, such as TrinaTracker, TrinaStorage, and Trinahub. In particular, the Trina Storage Elementa battery device that uses TrinaCell is getting a lot of attention.

Vertex n-type family’s full portfolio

Solar producers, EPCs, and installers can use Trina’s n-type i-TOPCon Advanced technology to make solar panels more efficient, more reliable over time, and less expensive in terms of their levelized cost of energy (LCOE). The company showed off all of the products in its Vertex n-type family, like the Vertex S+ and Vertex N, which can be used in places like homes, businesses, and utility-scale power plants.

Vertex S+ series modules are designed for use in home solar uses. They are powerful, but still small. The Vertex S+ has rectangular n-type TOPCon cells that are 210mm long and just under 2 square metres (1,762mm x 1,134mm) wide.

The Vertex N 610W series modules work well with trackers and make it easier to install single-row tracker systems by 13%. The new and improved module sizes make utility-scale or commercial and industrial (C&I) solar uses more likely to work. They also increase the utilisation rate of the 40HC container to 98.5%, which lowers customers’ transportation and BOS costs.

At Trina Solar’s stand, the Vertex N 700W module is shown on a computer screen. After making a lot of Vertex N 700W+ series modules in August, Trina Solar is the first company to make a lot of TOPCon modules with more power than 700W.

The module from the Vertex 670W line is also on show. The Vertex 670W line has a 210mm and PERC cell, which are the four keys to a low LCOE, high efficiency, high power, a high energy yield, and high dependability.

The smart energy systems, which are more than just units

Trina Solar has the best module technology in the business, and its combined smart energy solutions make it easy, innovative, and effective to build solar projects. This solution combines modules, tracks, and energy storage to make sure that the system of the end customer is safe, reliable, and easy to use.

The Vanguard 1P uses the 1P single-row design and has technological benefits that make it more reliable, produce more power, reduce the cost of the balance of system (BOS), and make it easier to adjust. The product has been put through a lot of testing in a wind lab, including dynamic, static, and aeroelastic models, which show how well it can stand up to extreme weather. The Vanguard 1P line works well with ultra-high power units that range from 400W to 700W or more.

Elementa, a utility-scale battery device, was also shown off by Trina Storage. The flexible battery system uses Trinacell, which was made by the company itself. It has an extremely long lifecycle of over 12,000. Trina Storage launched its own EMS platform, which was designed to give the company as much control, speed, and sustainability as possible. E2MS is a complete software and hardware solution that works with grid-scale battery storage systems to make energy flows easier to control, monitor, and optimise.

Trina Storage is starting a period of rapid growth. By the end of 2023, the total ESS capacity will be 12GWh, and by the end of Q2 2024, it will be 25GWh.

Trinahub, a one-stop shop for partners, is now live in North America.

During RE+, Trinahub is launched for real. Trinahub is a new one-stop partner portal that connects Trina with clients and key players in the industry to improve the customer experience, strengthen channel relationships, and build an online partner digital marketing environment.
