TÜV Rheinland evaluated modules across five key dimensions — thermal cycling, mechanical load and dynamic stress, UV exposure and humidity-freeze, damp heat, and PID. The Vertex N Shield module achieved an outstanding score of 94, ranking first overall, with every indicator surpassing those of competing modules, fully confirming its long-term reliability.
“It has been ten years since Trinasolar began advancing TOPCon technology in 2015. Winning the 2025 ‘Comprehensive Reliability Award’ with our TOPCon module is a tremendous honor. Trinasolar will continue to deliver more reliable products and solutions to customers,” said Lei Gao, Director of Global Cell and Solar Product Management at Trinasolar.
The award-winning Vertex N Shield module incorporates advanced i-TOPCon technology. Its glass is 25% thicker than that of standard modules, providing 2.5 times greater impact resistance. Certified by RETC, it can withstand 75 mm hail at a 60° angle during severe hailstorms. The module’s innovative frame design further enhances its load-bearing strength, improving overall stability, reliability, and protection of PV power plant assets.
Before receiving this award, the module’s exceptional reliability was recognized by RETC in June, where it was named a “High Achiever” in several categories, including TC600, DH2000, SDML, and PID.
As a flagship product of Trinasolar’s TOPCon series, the Vertex N Shield module plays a key role in the Shield Extreme Climate Solution, launched in March 2025, which marked a new era of scenario-based PV solutions.
In addition to TOPCon modules, the Extreme Climate Solution includes a smart tracking system that employs intelligent protection strategies for PV plants, ensuring system stability. This approach not only increases revenue but also reduces BOS and LCOE.
Dedicated to leading globally in smart PV and energy storage solutions, Trinasolar provides customized solutions for diverse environments such as deserts and offshore regions, earning widespread recognition. The company continues to hold BNEF Tier 1 status for both modules and storage, and was recently listed by S&P Global Commodity Insights among the Tier 1 Companies for PV modules and energy storage systems.
